    [The Stranded] Episode 1

The Stranded is a new Netflix series from Thailand that aired last month. I’m usually not one to take an interest in shows or movies with kids trapped on an island. I was traumatized from watching Lord of The Flies back in high school so I swore off of such films, series, and books. But I wanted to give this show a try because the filming budget looked like a huge upgrade from the Thai dramas I have been watching. Also, a few actors and actresses that I recognized are in this show and I wanted to see them. Perth, Mark, Jan, and Beam. At only 7 episodes in total,…

[Our Skyy] Episode 4 – Pete & Kao

Just like with all of my other reviews for Our Skyy, this review will contain spoilers. So far out of the four Our Skyy episodes that I have seen, this was by far the silliest of the bunch. The whole time I was either laughing or rolling my eyes at just how dumb and silly things were. In this episode, Kao runs into an old lady that predicts that he will run into a stroke of bad luck and many things in his life will go awry including his relationship. She writes down a list of things he needs to complete in order to dodge the bad luck. After this,…

    [Sotus S] Episode 10

I would like to offer a quick apology for such a long absence between my SOTUS reviews. I seriously have no excuse besides laziness, distractions, and still not wanting SOTUS to end. So anyway! In episode 10, we are still at the beach with the company having fun. But things turn awry quickly when P’Danai finds out that the new product they have been producing (the one P’John’s team presented) have all been rejected. All the different departments call a meeting with their staff members at the beach and call off the fun activities. We find out that the product is a smokeless griller but they are being rejected because…

    [TharnType] Episode 5

Okay, so we are finally back to watching TharnType and while some annoyance still lingers for me, I’m glad this episode opens up with some fluffiness. Tharn is a bit overboard with his cutesiness but I’m happy for the break in sexual tension. Starting out the boys are out buying new bedsheets for Type since they ruined his from having so much sex the previous nights. I’m not sure why a simple wash and dry in a washing machine isn’t an option but whatever. We need a storyline, I guess. From there, the boys are spending time together and getting to know each other more. Really, it’s Type getting to…

    [TharnType] Book vs Series

Okay, so this will be quick. I know that my last few posts about TharnType the series has been quite ranty. In my very last review post I even said that episode 4 was going to be the final review that I write. Well I am here to retract that statement and give the show another chance. A couple days ago I discovered a youtube channel that has been posting videos about the missing information from the TharnType book. Apparently there are some Thai fans who have read the book and are not satisfied with how the series is showing things. It is leaving so much out and also a…

    [TharnType] Episode 3

Okay, so this review is pretty much going to be more of a rant and most likely not very thorough because I did not enjoy it that much and the ending just completely pissed me off. I keep trying to tell myself that this is a show. This is fiction. But I’m upset. The episode basically picks up where episode 2 left off with Type entering the bedroom and Tharn is standing there smiling all goofy because he heard what Type said to Champ outside the door. So Type gives Tharn some food as a way to say thank you but of course he can’t help but continue to be…

    Upcoming Series To Watch List

So 2019 isn’t over yet and there are still quite a few series that have either just started airing or hasn’t begun airing yet. But GMMTV (Thailand’s major television production and talent agency) has already released their upcoming series for 2020. Some of them look really good! Honestly, GMMTV rarely disappoints me. I don’t watch everything they put out but the stuff I do watch, I end up enjoying for the most part. In the past 13 hours, GMMTV has released thirteen new trailers for upcoming series. To be completely transparent, 12 are trailers for series, 1 is a trailer for a movie coming to Thai theaters. And some of…
