[Cutie Pie The Series] Episode 11

Chile, listen. Episode 11 deserves its own post because whoooo boy it was a doozy! In this episode we really get to see just how mentally and emotionally exhausted Kuea is due to all the secrets and lies. Once again, he goes to perform at Gemini’s club and right away Gemini messages Lian and tells him that Kuea will be performing and that he should come. Of course, this whole thing is a secret to Kuea. I still really don’t understand why Gemini does this or what he and Lian’s business partnership is even supposed to be for and why. Maybe I missed it while I was watching but it…

[Cutie Pie The Series] Episodes 7-10

So, I’m almost at the end of the series and something major has come to light. In my last review, I was questioning Lian’s motivations about what he was doing with buying up the Keerati’s properties as well as trying to get a business partnership with Gemini. I eventually started catching on as to what was happening with Kuea’s family until finally the bomb dropped in episode 10 which is where I’ve stopped watching for now. The Keerati family is going bankrupt and none of Kuea’s family told him what is going on. I feel so bad for him. I really do. And I’m really annoyed with how Kuea’s family…

[Cutie Pie The Series] Episodes 2-6

So, I’ve finally reached mid-season and so far, I am still enjoying the series. However, the episodes feel really long. They clock in at a little under an hour, however, I truly feel that many scenes can either be trimmed down or cut completely. By the time an episode is finished, I can actually feel the length of it, if that makes any sense. Usually, when shows have my interest, I can binge it without realizing how long I’ve been sitting in front of my computer. The story flows so nicely that times flies by. But these episodes actually feel long. Like, longer than a normal tv episode, but shorter…

[Cutie Pie The Series] Episode 1

I have been meaning to watch this series ever since it first aired and I can’t help but feel really behind in my series watching. In fact, I kind of feel overwhelmed. There are so many new series that have either already aired or are still coming out in the near future and I just can’t keep up. My watchlist is growing like crazy with both new BL and non-BL series for this year alone. It doesn’t help that I took a whole year off of watching dramas in 2022 and half a year off during 2023, so now I’m even more behind. *sigh* so many dramas, so little time.…

    [Review] Our Dating Sim

Finally! Another good BL coming out of Korea. This series was super sweet and left me feeling so happy and nostalgic. For this review I will be using the online screen names of the main characters since that is what they were going by in the show. Lee Wan and Shin Ki Tae are best friends. At school, they are almost inseparable and are always to be found hanging out together outside the classroom. Lee Wan is also attracted to Shin Ki Tae, and wants to start a romantic relationship with him. One day, Lee Wan confesses his feelings to his friend, who is stunned by this. The duo parts…

    [Review] Candy Color Paradox

Satoshi Onoe is a reporter for the weekly gossip magazine “Dash!” The magazine is a hit among readers, as it often contains juicy details about the latest celebrity scandals, and sells well as a result. Its success is largely down to its so-called stakeout crews – teams of journalists and photographers who follow celebrities in the hope of catching them getting up to no good. But one day, the magazine’s senior staff decided to reshuffle the stakeout teams – and pair Satoshi Onoe with the photographer Motoharu Kaburagi. Satoshi Onoe secretly resents Motoharu Kaburagi, and thinks of him as a rival, of sorts. Furthermore, while Satoshi Onoe prides himself on…

    [Review] Individual Circumstances

Ha Yeon Woo was once the toast of Chungmuro – Seoul, South Korea’s answer to America’s Hollywood. As a maverick young movie director, his debut film was a massive hit for both filmgoers and critics alike. But after this auspicious start, he fell into a lengthy slump. He is now listless and unsure if he is really cut out to be a top movie director after all. One day, he meets Sung Woo Jae, a famous fiction writer who he once knew – but has not spoken to for some time. Sung Woo Jae also has demons, however. His first love ended in sadness, and he took solace in his…

    Krist & Singto together again!!

I’m about a month late to even hearing about this, but this news has brought me out of my drama watching hiatus. Krist & Singto are going to be in another series together again and they are playing a couple! Never did I ever think we would see KristSingto as a couple again. And the trailer for the new series has me absolutely SCREAMING! The chemistry is still there between the two and I just can’t freakin wait to watch this!! Omg. And I heard that Singto left GMMTV a long while ago so seeing him back again for a brand new series is truly a pleasant surprise. Krist &…

[Review] HIStory 5: Love in the Future

This review is going to be so short because honestly…I don’t really know what to rate this. This series started off with a lot of potential but went downhill the more episodes I watched. It wasn’t good, but it wasn’t necessarily bad either. It was just overwhelmingly mid, and I find that sooo disappointing. Idk what has been going on with HIStory these last few years, but I have not been impressed with what HIStory has been dishing out these past two releases. I liked HIStory 1 (not including Obsessed), enjoyed HIStory 2, absolutely adored HIStory 3. But then HIStory 4 came along and I hated that one so much.…

    [Review] My Love Mix-up!

Hello and welcome back to another review. I will keep this review brief as I do not have too much to say about it. For longer than he’d care to admit, Sota Aoki has had a crush on his classmate Mio Hashimoto. Sitting next to her in class every day, Aoki wishes he could find a way to tell her how he feels, but something keeps holding him back. Despite being unable to confess his feelings, he’s at least able to talk to her about other, simpler things. He’s even occasionally borrowed school supplies from her, which is why he didn’t think twice about asking to borrow an eraser from…
