[Review] The Moment Since

The second season of The Moment I Need You has been released and I’m happy to have finally watched it! I’ve been waiting for it ever since the first season ended and it did not disappoint. This season is called The Moment Since. And can I just say how much I actually love that title?? It’s literally perfect because in this season, our two main characters are meeting again after a long time but both still have feelings for each other since they first met. I’m not sure how much time has passed from last season to this season though, so I wish that had been clearer.

In this season, Bay is meeting Mok at a beach resort because they made plans to celebrate Bay’s birthday together. They have been keeping in touch with one another since they last saw each other but like I said before, I’m not sure how much time has passed between the two seasons.

Bay arrives at the hotel first and waits for Mok. While waiting for Mok, guess who shows up? Boston. Bay’s boss from the hotel he works at. Boston knew Bay was on vacation and knew where he was staying so Boston took a vacation too and “coincidentally” wound up at the same hotel as him. We come to find out that Boston still has feelings for Bay and thinks he might still be able to have a chance with him.

Boston has also invited a friend named Jimmy to stay at the resort with him but things get ridiculous and comical when Jimmy also takes an interest in Bay! Now Bay has three guys vying for his affections: Mok, Boston, and Jimmy. Of course Mok gets jealous about this and sometimes gets caught up in the shenanigans of trying to get Bay’s attention. But Bay makes it known that he only has eyes for Mok. The poor thing was practically running away from everyone lol.

The episodes are filmed similarly to how the first season is filmed where there are long moments without dialogue. I was okay with these scenes because like I said in my last review, it allows the viewer to focus on the sweeter moments and take in the emotions of the characters in order to know what they are feeling.

I liked that this season included some comedy. It was a nice touch and made the show enjoyable. I also liked that Bay knew who he wanted and never led on any of the other guys. There was no unnecessary drama and I loved seeing Bay and Mok take the next steps in their relationship.

In the end, Boston and Jimmy understood that they have no chance with Bay because he only has eyes for Mok. They accepted it, didn’t get jealous, and moved on with their lives. I loved that. We stan mature men who can keep their pride and egos in check! Lol

We also got a brief cameo from Copter! A member of SB5 and an original cast member of 2 Moons. It was nice to see him but when I tell you his appearance was brief, I’m talking literally 20 seconds lol. But it was still nice to see him.

Anyway. This was a cute series and I enjoyed it. There were two kiss scenes and they were great. They weren’t super sexy nor were they a cringefest. They were super sweet and made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. I have no idea if there will be a season three or what season three would even be about but I’m looking forward to more.

For my rating, I give this a 4 out 5 stars. I didn’t give it a 5 because there were a few moments that were kind of clunky and extra, such as Mok riding a horse on the beach (lollll) or some random girl coming up behind him and covering his eyes then running away. It was random and kind of threw me off. But other than that, it was a good show and I recommend it. Unlike the first season, this season was released on LineTV instead of YouTube. So, Star Hunter Studios is making moves! I say give it a try.
